Nevada Governor Jim Gibbons signed an Executive Order, “Declaring State Policy to Preserve and Protect Greater Sage-Grouse Habitat,” on September 26, 2008. WildEarth Guardians welcomes the Governor’s leadership on sage-grouse conservation in Nevada and sent a letter to the Governor with ten recommendations to bolster sage-grouse populations in Nevada pursuant to his new order. These ten sensible, achievable and necessary recommendations to conserve greater sage-grouse could be performed by the Governor directly or by Nevada state government to give force and effect to the Governor's Executive Order.
